If you have ever sat next to Samara on the MRT chances are she's invited you to the turtle museum. She loves it so much that we got a year pass, which was only $30. It's just 4 MRT stops and a long but nice walk to the museum. Last monday, we met up with Ben on his way home from work for FHE so I thought I'd bring the camera along.

Koi Fish (I think that is what they are called). They must be the world's hungriest fish because they go crazy when you throw food in as you can see by their wide open mouths.
You are a good family for taking Samara there more than once. Those turtles look freaky deaky. But still, I bet my kids would love it, too.
ReplyDeleteYou guys are so brave. The pictures from the last trip freaked me out. Do they do something to them to make them look that way? We love the kois though. We're pretty sure that there were some kois stuck in the goldfish tank at PetSmart one time when we got some for our pond (our last batch of goldfish made it through the whole winter but wenever can have any to make it through Ryan cleaning the pond!) b/c they grew quite a bit in a short amount of time. Gotta love getting a $13 fish for .12. They didn't make it either though. We were pretty sad over those.
ReplyDeleteThis was Ben's first time and he said he doesn't mind if it doesn't work out for him to go again. They are freaky turtles but at least I don't shutter anymore now that I've been there a few times. They don't do anything to make them look weird that's just what kind they are. I had no idea there were so many bizarre turtles out there. Heather, I love you pond! I'm sorry those last ones didn't make it either. :(
